Next door American Canyon is looking to change its rent control. Solano County property managers and owners are not happy with the idea of having Solano rent control. Will rent control winds from American Canyon, Concord, Berkeley, San Francisco and other nearby cities blow into Solano County?
The proposed American Canyon rent stabilization ordinance is based on Concord rent control laws. American Canyon's rent control proposed ordinance is 31 pages. American Canyon tenants aren't happy with the ordinance as they believe it will cause rent price increases faster than it would happen otherwise.
Past attempts to start Solano County rent control never got anywhere. We predict that Solano rent control won't be here for some time, if ever in the near future.

ReplyDeleteThere ought to be for less fortunate tenants that do not have ample income such as myself, I have only my social security disability to live on and my landlord just put out a notice the she is increasing the rent by more than a third of what I pay now which is $880 a month
